One thing I have to say about Sonya: WHAT A FOX!!! Man. It was so much fun shooting her. I had one particular GQ shoot in mind, the one from June/July 2008 where she’s strewn all about in white bedsheets. Sonya is tall, brunette, and slender as well, so it was the perfect shoot to channel. Photographing for a men’s magazine like GQ is my dream so it was great to pretend, at least
In this particular shoot I also utilized two different lighting styles; a regular softbox as well as an Alienbee Ringflash. Both looks were great, and it was really fun to learn/experiment on a subject like Sonya! We also scored an amazing suite at the Metropolitan Hotel downtown – I’m not too sure that I utilized the six-person dining room fully, but it was sure luxurious to have it there
